STUDENT WELFARE EXECUTIVE COMMITEE
Students Welfare Executive Commitee,generally known as SWEC,is a body consisting of students Representives,teachers and non teaching staff.it functions under the presidentship of Principal and primarily concerned with the conduct of extra curricular activities in the college.
SWEC has the following departments:
- Arts Circle and College Miscellany
- Debating Union
- Planning Forum
- Sports
- Ladies Association
Every department is headed by a member of the teaching staff as the Chairman.Class Representives of senior classes will work as departmental secretaries.Representives will be nominated for NCC and NSS by the Principal on the advice of the concerned officers.
NOMINATION TO SWEC
- A representative for each class is nominated from Degree and PU Classes on MERIT BASIS
- From among the nominated Representatives of Degree Classes,Departmental Secretaries will be chosen by the Principal in consultation with the senior staff members.
- Every Secretary should note that every programme should be held under the permission,guidance and control of the Chairman/Principal.
- Members of the SWEC should provide a model for others by maintaining discipline and regularity in curricular and extra-curricular activities.Any member found to be irregular or indisiplined may be terminated by the Principal at any time
- While sending entries for participation in other institutions/organizationz,the opinion of selection Commitees will be considered.Such Participants should not have dues and should have satisfactory attendance and conduct.
- In every curricular and extra-curricular activities the decision of the principal is final and binding
- A secretary/Class Representative whose attendance fails below 50% shall cease to be a member of SWEC and in his/her place a new person would be nominated
