organized a state level symposium on the topic “Role of Foreign Capital in India” on 20th January, 2007.
5) Examination reforms implemented:
A Calendar with respect to conduct of examinations is announced at the beginning of the academic year. A separate committee is formed to look after the conduct of tests and tutorials regularly and systematically. Meeting of supervisors is conducted before the commencement of examinations and necessary instructions are given for smooth and fair conduct of exams.
All the examinations and internal tests are conducted timely, systematically and fairly. There is complete transparency in the assessment of papers and announcement of results.
6) Candidates qualified NET/SLET/GATE etc:
Two staff members Prof. D. D. Kulkarni and Prof.(Miss.) Tara K. Nakod have qualified in the NET exam. Alumni of our College Prof. Shamshalambasha to whom the necessary guidance was given by the Department of Commerce also cleared the test.
7) Initiative towards faculty development programme:
Teachers are encouraged to write books, present articles, attend seminars and workshops and undertake research programmes. Staff members have shown considerably interest and progress in expanding their horizons of their knowledge through these activities.

b. Prof. C. M. Patil has authored Text book on ‘Modern Banking’ for IV Semsester.
c. Prof.(Miss.) S. S. Bardur is pursuing her Ph. D. work in the subject Kannada under the guidance of Dr. Maheshwaraiah of Dept. of Kannada, KUD.
